Description from the publisher

Unrecognized: The Duwamish Tribe is a film about power, politics and culture. Drawing on historical records, lived experience, and behind-the-scenes decisions about public art, the half-hour film shows how the struggle for recognition is both political and cultural. Join filmmaker BJ Bullert and Duwamish Tribe Council Member Ken Workman for a post-screening discussion moderated by Jean Sherrard, contributing writer for The Seattle Times “Now & Then” column. ASL Interpretation and CART captioning are available during the program. In addition, the film will feature closed captions and a limited number of Assistive Listening Devices are available upon request. For more accessibility support, email programs@mohai.org before the event.
