Description from the publisher
Snow/weather conditions permitting, we will ski (classical style) at the Teacup Nordic area on Mt Hood. The intent is to guide morning and afternoon loops of about 2 hours each, with a break for lunch in the Ray Garey cabin. The activity is aimed at the advanced beginner/intermediate ski level and above. One must display a valid Snowpark Permit in order to park at the Teacup area. It will also be necessary to pay to ski at Teacup; the cost for a day pass for those over 18 years of age is $25. I recommend that you purchase the tickets in advance that day, on-line (https://teacupnordic.org) because connectivity at Teacup can be spotty. You will need cross-country skis, poles and boots, appropriate clothing and a lunch and fluids for this activity. The area is generally groomed for both classical and skate skiing. The cabin does not have running water but is warmed by a wood stove. There are pit toilets across from the cabin. If conditions do not permit skiing, I will lead a snowshoe (if snow) or hike (if not enough snow) to Trillium Lake. We would meet at the parking lot for Trillium Lake at the same time. You will still need a valid Snowpark Permit.
