Description from the publisher
Starting from Multnomah Falls, we'll hike the Larch Mountain Trail through Multnomah Creek's lovely canyon to a forest road, looping around to a 0.1 mile trail with Christmas ornaments hanging from the trees. Hikers who are drawn to add to the collection are encouraged to bring a weather-friendly ornament and something to hang it with. We'll go from there to lunch at one of two places: at the Columbia Gorge overlook at Waespe Point if it's not too windy, or outside the Trails Club's Nesika Lodge if it's too windy at the overlook. We will return the way we came, likely encountering crowds when we return to Multnomah Falls. Folks wishing to carpool will gather at Gateway Transit Center Park & Ride, meeting at the lower level of the garage at spaces facing the MAX tracks, a few minutes before we depart at 08:00. Expect to start our hike at 08:45 in front of the Multnomah Falls restroom.
