Description from the publisher
The fifth annual O-Jak Bridge Art & Dance Festival presents Once Upon a Time, a celebration of storytelling through dance, music, visual art, and interdisciplinary performance. Bringing together about 100 local and international artists from diverse cultural backgrounds, the festival brings folktales, fairy tales, and original stories to life on stage. Discover how movement, music, and imagery connect cultural traditions and offer new ways to experience familiar tales. Founded in 2022 by Seattle-based Korean American artist and choreographer MiYoung Margolis, O-Jak takes its name from the bridge in the Korean folktale of the Cowherd and Weaver Girl—a symbol of the festival’s mission to connect people across cultures through art. Performances: Saturday, November 14, 2026, at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, November 15, 2026, at 3:30 p.m. Venue: Broadway Performance Hall, Seattle Festival details and tickets:
