Description from the publisher

Join the Washington State Jewish Historical Society (WSJHS) for a look at the history of Tacoma’s Jewish community through a presentation by historian Karen Treiger. Karen will share her family’s history in Tacoma, with a focus on her relative, Rabbi Baruch Treiger. The program will also include an interactive opportunity to share your own Tacoma Jewish story with those around you. Whether your family has deep roots in Tacoma or you arrived recently, your story is part of the community’s history. If you have photographs or documents that help tell your family’s Tacoma story, we encourage you to bring them and share them during the event. This event is a collaboration between WSJHS and the Washington State Historical Society. Registration is free and includes admission to the Washington State History Museum. Come early to explore the museum before the presentation, and stay afterward to participate in the WSJHS Story Booth. Light refreshments will be provided. Please RSVP by Monday, November 2, 2026. Questions? Reach out to Sara Mottaz, Program Coordinator, at saram@jewishinseattle.org.
