Description from the publisher
Join us for the SJCC Book Club, a space for thoughtful reading, meaningful discussion, and connections across our SJCC community. Set between war-torn Cyprus in 1974 and modern-day London, “Island of the Missing Trees,” by Elif Shafak, tells the secret love story of Kostas, a Greek Cypriot, and Defne, a Turkish Cypriot, whose romance is uniquely witnessed and narrated by a sentient fig tree. Please note: Participants will need to get their own copy of the book. We recommend finishing the book before our meeting so you can fully join the discussion!
From Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle, who publish it in their own public calendar.
