Each First Thursday, as Pioneer Square Art Walk transforms the neighborhood into a celebration of creativity, VOLUME invites guests to experience music as an art form through the ritual, atmosphere, and intimacy of deep listening. Inside the Nature Library at Populus Seattle, Maiden Voyage curate an immersive vinyl experience inspired by Japan’s legendary jazz kissa listening bars. Across jazz, soul, and genre-spanning selections, each session explores a new perspective on sound, place, and culture. This month, we turn our ears to the sounds of 2001, revisiting a defining moment in music through the albums, artists, and sonic landscapes that shaped the year. Settle into the evening with handcrafted cocktails and seasonal small bites from Salt Harvest, then continue the sonic journey upstairs at Firn, where sweeping views of Pioneer Square set the stage for Night Flora: YOHINESS The art of listening, at just the right VOLUME.
