Description from the publisher

Join us at Rainier Beach Urban Farm & Wetlands for a celebration rooted in community to help kick off Seattle Forest Week! You can help with plantings led by the Rainier Beach Youth Stewards, make nature crafts and salve, and try out the apple cider press. There will be food to enjoy, and you can take home a free plant. Don’t miss the scavenger hunt! Volunteer Want to help make the day happen? We’d love to have you! You can pitch in with set up, lend a hand wherever it’s needed, run the apple cider press or help with clean up at the end. No experience needed. Sign up to volunteer here. What is Seattle Forest Week? As the Green Seattle Partnership expanded its reach, a single day was no longer sufficient to kick off the planting season; thus, Seattle Forest Week was born. Seattle Forest Week is a celebration of the Urban Forest: This week’s events are great opportunities to join in on planting, forest bathing, bird & plant walks, and helping shape what future participation can look like!
