Children ages 8 to 13 can put their free throw skills to the test for FREE at the Burien Elks Hoop Shoot on Saturday, Nov. 7, at Burien Elks Lodge No. 2143. The free contest runs from 10:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m. at the lodge, located at 14006 First Ave South (map below), according to the organization. The competition will have separate boys and girls divisions, each with three age groups: 8 to 9 10 to 11 12 to 13 Organizers describe the Hoop Shoot as an opportunity for children to build confidence, connect with others and develop perseverance through hard work and fun, healthy competition.
