Join us for a morning of hiking and casual Ski Walking! All are welcome - including experienced or budding ski enthusiasts, no prior experience is required! Bring hiking or ski poles. The leader will have an extra loaner set of poles. We will begin with a hike descending Fiirelane 5, then practice ski walking with poles on the Lief Erikson trail before heading gradually uphill on the Saltzman Rd. trail using our poles for "ski walking". After our first loop we will debrief and determine what additional trail loops we wish to make. Participants are encouraged to wear their favorite ski/snow hat, and we will celebrate the most creative snow dancer among the group. What is Ski Walking?
