DESCRIPTION:Has the recent release of Christopher Nolan’s movie\, The O
 dyssey\, piqued your interest in mythology? In 1988\, PBS produced an accl
 aimed series called The Power of Myth\, 6 hour-long conversations between
  noted journalist and political commentator Bill Moyers and teacher\, stor
 yteller extraordinaire Joseph Campbell. Their discussions dealt with the 
 universality and evolution of myths in the history of the human race\, as 
 well as the place of myths in modern society. Campbell recounted stories f
 rom many cultures and civilizations to present his most compelling thesis 
 that modern society is (still) going through a transition from the old myt
 hologies and traditions to a new way of thinking where a global mythology 
 will emerge.\n\nOn six Tuesday evenings in September and October\, Rosemar
 y Saul will facilitate as we watch these interviews\, followed by an infor
 mal discussion of the implications of where we are with that transition to
 day\, nearly 40 years later.\n\nSept. 15\, 22\, 29 and Oct. 6\, 13\, and 2
 0 from 6-8 PM in the Library at ECC. Come for one\, all six or however man
