 and storyteller Kona Morris (The Moth\, PBS’s Stories From The Stage\, R
 ISK!) for a special 2-day workshop that will guide you through the process
  of composing and structuring your stories for any audience. From job inte
 rviews to wedding speeches\, it is important to feel confident to share yo
 ur stories because YOUR STORY MATTERS. Learn how to craft your own life ex
 periences into a polished\, first-person narrative that you can share with
  family\, friends\, and at storytelling events. Open to all experience lev

 ll dive into the art of storytelling with several unique “story mining
 ” exercises that are designed to help you remember the details of the mo
 st exciting and important stories in your life\, so you will have a long l
 ist of stories to work with. We will also cover effective storytelling str
 uctures\, such as the format for the most successful stories on The Moth R
 adio Hour\, which are designed for optimal audience engagement. We will lo
 ok at examples of different story structures and how to apply them to your
  own stories. We will also discuss the importance of a strong ending\, and
  how to tailor it for your specific audience and purpose. \nFor the second
  class\, you will bring a draft of one of your developing stories\, and we
  will dive into techniques for how to tell it to an audience. We will cove
 r tips for overcoming stage fright\, and how to make your story as engagin
 g as possible. You will get practice telling your story and be provided wi
 th constructive feedback for how to make it more impactful. \nAt the Story

 od \nAbout Kona\nKona Morris is a storyteller\, writer\, and educator. She
  has won The Moth StorySLAM in New York City\, Boston\, and Los Angeles\, 
 and she came in first place for the Ojai Storytelling Festival Story Slam\
 , which was judged by Featured Tellers from the International Storytelling
  Festival. Kona has performed on national television shows and podcasts\, 
 including Stories From The Stage (PBS)\, the RISK! podcast\, and AITApod. 
 She starred in Denver’s Live Drunk History Comedy Troupe\, where she was
  Editor-in-Chief of Fast Forward Press and spent 14 years teaching literat
 ure\, mythology\, and creative writing courses to college students. Kona
 ’s stories\, articles\, and prose poems have appeared in a variety of pu
 blications\, and she has been featured at literary readings\, writing conf
 erences\, storytelling events\, and comedy shows around the world. Kona of
