 tment. This course will explore the common factors of evidence-based traum
 a treatments including Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT
 )\, Skills Training for Affective and Interpersonal Regulation-Narrative S
 tory Telling (STAIR-NST) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). We will a
 lso discuss common pre-treatment beliefs and assessment. The course will i

 ep that is associated with distress and/or daytime consequences\, includin
 g impairment in functioning or mood. Insomnia can lead to poor mental heal
 th\, or can be a consequence of poor mental health. Cognitive Behavioral T
 herapy for insomnia (CBTi) is an empirically validated brief psychotherapy
  with evidence of long-term improvements in sleep for people with and with
 out psychiatric comorbidities. CBTi addresses behavioral components to sle
 ep (e.g. stimulus control\, sleep restriction therapy)\, cognitive compone
 nts (beliefs about sleep and sleep related anxiety)\, and physiological co
 mponents (reducing hyperarousal). In this course\, participants will be in
 troduced to the rationale for CBTi\, learn the tools involved in implement
 ing it\, and become familiar with how to manage common comorbidities and c
 hallenges in implementation. \nMethod: Live Online\, Lecture\, discussion.
