DESCRIPTION:Poetry in the Parklet\nAn outdoor community gathering where po
 ets and writers come together to read\, write\, and share. Each event feat
 ures a local poet who reads their own work and leads participants through 
 a guided free-writing session using original prompts. The event closes wit
 h a community open mic\, capped off by a final reading from the featured p
 oet. The series also includes a poetry contest open to the community — w
 inners receive a gift certificate to the Muse Writers Center\, read their 
 poems at the September Poetry in the Parklet event\, and have their work d
 isplayed in the ViBe Parklet on 18th Street for a full year\, beginning Oc
