Throughout the park\, we’ll visit different spots—some w et and some dry. You’ll help survey all kinds of plants\, including tree s\, shrubs\, vines\, and small plants\, to see if they have any water-rela ted adaptations. \nWorkshop Three: Hydric Soil – September 19 @ 10am: E xplore a unique type of soil that forms in areas with long-term water pres ence. Waterlogged conditions remove oxygen from the soil\, leading to fasc inating changes. By examining these changes\, you’ll learn about indica tors of hydric soils. With tools like soil probes and shovels\, we’ll i nvestigate wet soils and compare these findings to drier areas\, study soi l types like sandy and loamy\, and test how soil reacts during specific ex periments. \n  \nTarget Audience: Ages 16 and up.
