 are welcome to join our dialogue meetings\, guided by experienced facilita
 tors passionate about self-inquiry and a shift in consciousness.\n \n\nOu
 r Facilitator: James Tousignant\n\nI have long been fascinated by the ques
 tions “What am I?” and its companion “Why am I here?” In the dialo
 gues and writings of J. Krishnamurti I have found a traveling companion\, 
 someone to walk alongside me and guide my exploration into the “extraord
 inary phenomena of human existence.”\n\nAsking questions\, deeply listen
 ing\, finding out for myself\, all the while refining my understanding bas
 ed on my experiences has been a defining feature of my approach to living.
  Whether I am facilitating a class or self-inquiry meditation retreat\, le
 ading a wilderness kayaking trip off Canada’s west coast\, or working co
 -creatively with my garden I am passionate about showing up as fully as I 
 can in the moment to what is. For me\, this is an ongoing act of awareness
 \, presence\, blessing and partnership.\n\n \n\n \n\n\n\nAs resource we 
 will be using  The Book of Life\, a collection of daily meditations by J
 . Krishnamurti. It is available online and from us at cost for $20.\n\n\n\
 nThe Book of Life e-book is also freely available here and looking it over
  for questions to further explore in our meetings is recommended.\n\nWe re

 tator:\n\nI have long been fascinated by the questions “What am I?” an
 d its companion “Why am I here?” In the dialogues and writings of J. K
 rishnamurti I have found a traveling companion\, someone to walk alongside
  me and guide my exploration into the “extraordinary phenomena of human 
 existence.”\n\nAsking questions\, deeply listening\, finding out for mys
 elf\, all the while refining my understanding based on my experiences has 
 been a defining feature of my approach to living. Whether I am facilitatin
 g a class or self-inquiry meditation retreat\, leading a wilderness kayaki
 ng trip off Canada’s west coast\, or working co-creatively with my garde
 n I am passionate about showing up as fully as I can in the moment to what
  is. For me\, this is an ongoing act of awareness\, presence\, blessing an
 d partnership.\n\nI have a Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology and Statistics
  and worked professionally as a research methodologist and senior statisti
 cian in the public service. Later\, I served as the executive director in 
 a community mental health organization providing support to unhoused\, vul
 nerable\, and high risk individuals.\n\n \n\n\n\nAs resource we will be u
 sing  The Book of Life\, a collection of daily meditations by J. Krishna
 murti. It is available at cost for $20.\n\n\n\nThe Book of Life e-book is 
 also freely available here and looking it over for questions to further ex
 plore in our meetings is recommended.\n\nMeetings are held on a donation b
 asis.  Your donation can be made here .\n\nMeetings will be held outdoors
  under the Centre’s beautiful oak trees\, if the weather permits\, or ot

DESCRIPTION:Sing your heart out with the Gay4Choir Autumn session ! Join 
 our sonic queer community for 12 weekly rehearsals culminating in a very g
 ay performance on Dec 14th. \nWhat to expect: \n\n12 weekly rehearsals st
 arting Monday Sept 14th at 6:30-8:30pm.\nPLUS the amazing opportunity to 
 perform for friends and queer community on Dec 14th.\nJoyful queer commun
 ity raising our voices together in harmony – maybe make a friend!\nA wel
 coming and empowering choral environment. This choir is about intergenera
 tional queer connection\, joy\, and sonic magic! We will be working toward
  a polished and satisfying performance\, but there is no audition\; We en
 courage anyone who loves to sing and is able to commit to the rehearsals t
 o sign up. No prior choir experience necessary. Rehearsals are designed to
  be accessible for less experienced singers\, while fun and satisfying f
 or more experienced singers too. This is community\, baby!\nWe’ll sing 
 a variety of music\, usually written by queer composers\, in folk\, pop\, 
 musical theatre\, and more traditional choral genres. This is a non-auditi
 oned choir with solo opportunities for more advanced singers.\n\nWhere reh
