DESCRIPTION:Back in its eighth year\, LSA is proud to offer Write by the W
 ater\, a 8-week intensive writing workshop for BIPOC (Black\, Indigenous\,
  People of Colour) creative youths and adults\, ages 18+\, to express them
 selves through storytelling and the written word.  \n\n\n\nThis year\, we
  once again welcome  writer\, language enthusiast and arts-educator\, Jed
 idiah Mugarura as the program facilitator. \n\n\n\nEach in-person session\
 , held (at least in part) by Lake Ontario at Amos Waites Park\, shall open
  with body movements as language embodied before visiting the page. \n\n\n
 \nWho is this program for: \n\n\n\nBIPOC Creative Writers: authors\, playw
 rights\, poets\, rappers\, singers and writers of any other medium\, ages 
 18+.  \n\n\n\nLocation:  \n\n\n\nLakeshore Arts (2422 Lake Shore Blvd. W.
 \, Etobicoke) and by the waterfront at Amos Waites Park. \n\n\n\nProgram C

DESCRIPTION:Q Summit is… \n\n\n\nA portal? A club? A lucky break? The fe
 eling of drawing a spiral with 3 markers? A bunch of guys being dudes? An 
 avant-garde Trust-fall? A Trans-Queer-Utopian Diorama made out of borrowed
  denim and pocket trash? \n\n\n\nQ summit is a 2-month long poetry intensi
 ve for 2SLGBTQ+ youth (ages 19 to 29) who want to deepen and invigorate th
 eir writing practice through guided exploration in a dedicated cohort! Joi
 n facilitators Melly and Mart in this stylistic and experimental program t
 hat fosters Queer connection\, and creative development. Weekly thematic w
 orkshops will consist of writing\, reading\, research\, discussion\, shari
 ng\, living\, laughing\, loving\, and ultimately—collective inquiry into
  our Queerness as it relates to poetic subject\, form\, medium\, and creat
 ive approach. Participants will write towards a collective anthology of ne
 w work and a final live performance. Participants can expect new chops\, n
 ew tricks\, new worlds\, and new friends. \n\n\n\nRegister by: Wednesday\,
