DESCRIPTION:Event Overview: \nWith Ajahn Kovilo and Ajahn Nisabho\, from C
lear Mountain Monastery. \nThis will be our 3rd year collaborating with Cl
ear Mountain and it is met with huge excitement over the newly acquired ho
me site for Clear Mountain Monastery\, which is located in North Bend. To
all of you who had to reschedule the time and place from July at Hazel Wol
 f Wetlands Preserve to this new time on September 6th\, 12:30 – 2:00\, t
hank you for making the change. \nForterra NW had been working closely wit
h Ajahn Kovilo and Ajahn Nisabho to find a new home that will provide a la
ndscape of forest and trails ideally suited for gathering and meditation p
ractice.  This new 90-acre North Bend location is a perfect fit and we wi
ll be celebrating our first Forterra Nature Discovery there in September.
This landscape holds a variety of habitats including wetlands and dense fo
rest that is home to fish bearing streams\, elk and all sorts of other wil
dlife. Join us for this meditative\,  deep nature experience and celebrat
ion of a new home. \nWhy Forest Meditation? \nThe Buddha was born under a
tree\, attained Enlightenment under a tree\, lived and practiced under tre
es\, and passed away under a tree. From those earliest days through the en
tire course of Buddhist history native forests and wilderness preserves pl
ayed a vital part in nurturing the spiritual lives of sincere and ardent p
ractitioners intent on understanding the truth of “the way things are.
”  Let’s see what we can learn from sitting together.

DESCRIPTION:In Partnership with Blue Zones Project. These free classes are
open to PLU students\, faculty\, and staff!\n\nWe are thrilled to share t
hat one of PLU's own\, Rachel Howard with the COHP\, will be partnering wi
th Blue Zones in leading the 30 min Yoga Series being offered every 'Tuesd
ay' at 12:15-12:45 pm. \n\nThe upcoming yoga series will incorporate breat
hwork and meditation\, alongside a gentle yoga sequence. A survey will be
provided to attendees\, pertaining to yoga styles and offerings. Guests ar
e encouraged to complete this survey to provide input on the style of yoga
they are hoping to familiarize themselves with during this time. \n\nReme
mber\, the practice of yoga is the practice of grace and openness. Therefo
re\, there are no wrong answers. Merely curiosity on how we can meet the i
nterests\, grow excitement\, and have some fun.\n\nYoga is for the mind\,
body\, and soul - and all are welcome\, whether you are new to yoga\, or a
n experienced yogi. The hardest part is to make it to the mat (or chair)\,
but we are stronger together and your presence is magical. Rest assured t
hat this 30 minutes of wellness is restorative\, not high endurance. No ne
ed for athletic gear\, as you can return to your regular schedule without
fearing the effects of an intensive (and smelly) workout :) \n\nWe will be
  meeting 12:15-12:45 pm.\n\n \n\nStay tuned for dates and locations!\n\n \
n\nWe look forward to seeing you on the mat\, and sharing space.\n\nNamast
