DESCRIPTION:KISS OF THE SPIDER WOMAN \n“I’d do anything for him.” \n
At its core\, Kiss Of The Spider Woman is a story about survival – but a
t Lakewood Playhouse\, it becomes a powerful meditation on what it means t
 o be a hero.  Set inside a Latin American prison\, two men – Valentín\
, a hardened revolutionary\, and Molina\, an imprisoned dreamer condemned
for who he is – seem to stand on opposite sides of courage.  Yet as the
ir walls slowly come down\, acts of heroism emerge not through grand gestu
res\, but through compassion\, vulnerability\, and the radical choice to s
ee one another fully. \nIn alignment with Lakewood Playhouse’s commitmen
t to storytelling that builds empathy and connection\, this production tra
nsforms a harrowing tale of persecution into a vivid theatrical experience
\, where fantasy becomes both refuge and resistance.  Molina’s dazzling
visions of the glamorous Aurora – and her deadly Spider Woman – offer
escape\, but also illuminate deeper truths about identity\, sacrifice\, a
nd love. \nThis is a story where heroism is not defined by strength alone\
, but by the bravery to imagine\, to trust\, and to care in a world that p
unishes all three. \nThe original Broadway production won seven Tony Award
s including Best Musical\, Best Book Of A?Musical and Best Original Score.

DESCRIPTION:Ned Newley doesn’t even want to be governor. He’s terrifie
d of public speaking\, and his poll numbers are impressively bad. To his e
ver-supportive Chief of Staff\, Ned seems destined to fail. But political
consultant Arthur Vance sees things differently: Ned might be the worst ca

This landscape holds a variety of habitats including wetlands and dense fo

DESCRIPTION:Ned Newley doesn’t even want to be governor. He’s terrifie
d of public speaking\, and his poll numbers are impressively bad. To his e
ver-supportive Chief of Staff\, Ned seems destined to fail. But political
consultant Arthur Vance sees things differently: Ned might be the worst ca
ndidate to ever run for office\;\nunless the public is looking for the wor
st candidate to ever run for office. As Ned’s unlikely campaign gains mo
mentum\, his honesty and awkward charm begin to resonate with voters in un
expected ways. Filled with sharp wit and political mischief\, this timely
comedy skewers politics while celebrating democracy. In a world of polishe
d politicians and carefully crafted messages\, Ned’s greatest weakness m
ay turn out to be his strength. \nThursdays – Saturdays at 7:30pm\nSunda
 ys at 2:00pm \nPay What You Can: Thursday\, September 10th at 7:30pm \nASL
  Interpreted Performance: Sunday\, September 13th at 2:00pm
