DESCRIPTION:_LASERPROBE RB-SR GEOCHRONOLOGY OF LUNAR SAMPLES: FROM METHOD\
nDEVELOPMENT TO APPLICATIONS_\n\nRb-Sr geochronology is one of the most wi
dely used chronometers in\nEarth science and planetary science. A major an
alytical challenge in\nRb-Sr dating is the isobaric interference of 87Rb o
n 87Sr. Recent\nadvances in inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (
 ICP-MS)\nequipped with collision/reaction cell technology (CCT) enable\nef
fective separation of this interference. Here\, we used a Thermo\nFisher S
cientific Neoma MC-ICP-MS/MS coupled with an ESL NWR 193 nm\nnanosecond ex
cimer laser-ablation (LA) system to establish analytical\nprocedures for a
ccurate _in situ_ Rb-Sr geochronology. Method\ndevelopment and validation
were conducted using two terrestrial\ngranites (Shap and Dartmoor) and two
ungrouped achondrites (Northwest\nAfrica 6704 and Erg Chech) with well-es
tablished Rb-Sr ages. We\nsubsequently applied the method to three types o
 f lunar samples - a\nKREEP-rich meteorite\, an Apollo mare basalt\, and an
Apollo impact-melt\nbreccia. The resulting ages\, with precisions of 1.5
–3%\, are\nconsistent with published TIMS data. These results\, acquired
from\nsamples spanning a wide range of feldspar compositions\, demonstrat
e\nthe broad applicability of laserprobe Rb-Sr geochronology to\nfeldspar-
bearing planetary materials\, especially future returned\nsamples from the
Moon through the Artemis program and\, by extension\,\nsamples from Mars
and its moons through future sample-return missions\nsuch as Martian Moons
eXploration (MMX).\n\nHost: Kun Wang\n\n_EEPS Colloquia are made possible

DESCRIPTION:‘The Last Show on Earth’ is a multi-media vignette-style p
lay that explores the absurdity and quiet beauty of contemporary life in a
n increasingly mediated world. Inspired by the films of Roy Andersson\, th
e play unfolds as a series of loosely connected scenes that share a common
creative theme rather than a single linear plot. Together\, these moments
form an emotional arc that moves from the everyday toward the existential
. Audience engagement is central to the project. The show frequently break
s the “fourth wall\,” blurring the line between performer and spectato
r and implicating the audience in the themes being examined. ‘The Last S
how on Earth’ is written by Joe Taylor and directed by Lucy Cashion.
