DESCRIPTION:Plan to attend an in-person Creative Reset workshop at the chu
rch on the evening of Thursday\, September 17th from 6:30 to 8:00 pm. Led
by Jodi Wade\, during the workshop participants will engage in a series of
fun\, hands-on creative activities using materials like magazines\, paper
\, pens\, scissors\, and glue (all provided). No artistic experience is ne
eded\; the goal is simply to play\, explore\, and experience the benefits
of creativity in a supportive environment. \nWhy is creative play good for
us? Creative activity reduces stress. Even 20 minutes of creative activit
y lowers stress and improves mood. The act of making something calms the n
ervous system. It boosts energy and well-being. Doing something creative i
ncreases positive emotions like energy\, curiosity\, and engagement. Peopl
e often feel better after making something\, even if it’s simple. It imp
roves how we think. \nCreative exercises are used in design thinking and i
nnovation because they help people see new possibilities and generate idea
 s. Even looking closely at images can improve observation skills and probl
em solving because it trains the brain to notice details and patterns we m
ight otherwise miss.  \nAdults don’t play enough.  As children we spen
 d a lot of time playing\, experimenting\, and making things. As adults\, m
ost of that disappears. But play and experimentation are important for lea
 rning\, curiosity\, and well-being. \nClass size is limited\, send an emai
l to contact@magnoliaucc.org to inquire about registration.
