Drain relea rned to shoot lefthanded\, eventually leading the USA to a marksmanship go ld medal in the 1908 Olympics. \nBut Drain’s story – inspirational\, b ut also influential – doesn’t stop there. He transformed Washington St ate’s National Guard into a professional force\, then joined President T eddy Roosevelt’s team of military reformers in revamping the Army’s st ructure and training. Sin ce 1991\, Earthwise Architectural Salvage has been rescuing materials from buildings across the Pacific Northwest\; in 2025\, the team expanded that mission with a dedicated drop-off point and retail location for salvaged lumber.
