DESCRIPTION:In The Goldberg Variations\, Canadian performance artist Clayt
on Lee freely references and entangles queer diasporic sexuality and aesth
etics with classical music (Johann Sebastian Bach) and professional wrestl
ing (Bill Goldberg). Using deadpan humor\, generosity\, and a low-vibratin
g mischievousness to facilitate and indulge the “what-ifs” of the live
encounter\, Clayton guides the audience through his sexual history while
conjuring and perhaps manifesting new fantasies at the exact same time. Th
e Goldberg Variations is an unhinged and reckless deep dive into power dyn
 amics\, sexual desire\, Domination/submission\, heartbreak\, vulnerability
\, tenderness\, and the tensions that exist within.

oul-hip-hop-psychedelic-jam-experimental titans LETTUCE\, for four nights
and six shows. Band members are: Nigel Hall (vocals\, Hammond B3\, Rhodes\
 , clavinet\, and keys)\, Ryan Zoidis (alto\, baritone\, tenor sax\, Korg X
-911)\, Eric “Benny” Bloom (trumpet\, horns)\, Adam “Shmeeans” Smi
rnoff (guitar)\, Erick “Jesus” Coomes (bass)\, and Adam Deitch (drums
 and percussion). \nShowtimes Thursday – Sunday at 7:30pm with a second s
et Friday & Saturday at 9:30pm. Doors open at 6:00pm Thursday and 5:30pm F
riday – Sunday. This show is supported by KNKX \n\n\nTouring in support o
f their new album\, Cook. Cook isn’t just a nod to Lettuce’s musica
l heat\; it’s an invitation to join the band at the table\, where funk\,
  soul\, jazz\, rock\, and hip-hop come together in one rich\, flavorful di
sh. \nReleased on their own Lettuce Records label\, the band’s next stud
io album offers a menu of delights that marks a band exploring new sonic t
erritory. For these six life-long partners\, the new songs feel like a nou
rishing meal that entices all of your senses. \nLike 2019’s Elevate\, 20
20’s Resonate and 2022’s Unify\, before it\, Cook was recorded at Co
lorado Sound just outside East Coast transplants Deitch\, Smirnoff\, and B
loom’s adopted home of Denver\, where they gathered in one room to work
on the new material. Ryan Zoidis did a masterful job mixing the final resu
lts with longtime Grammy-nominated engineer Jesse O’Brien. \nOn the new
album\, Lettuce has expanded its ever-widening musical palette again. Comi
ng off tours with both rap icon GZA of Wu-Tang Clan and and reggae legend
Ziggy Marley while earlier in this year releasing the live album and conce
rt film ‘Lettuce with the Colorado Symphony’ capturing over 90 minutes
of collaborative symphonic arrangements with the Colorado Symphony \n“T
his record is a little more three-dimensional than our past albums\,” ad
ded Deitch. “It shows a lot more sides to the band\, exploring further d
epths of production and arrangements.” \nOne can hear the Wu-Tang Clan v
ibe on “Storm’s Coming\,” which could well be a lost track from (36
Chambers)\, while working with an orchestra can be traced in the epic cine
matic score of the closing “Ghost of Yest\,” which Deitch terms\, “a
cool tune that has symphonic influences.” \nThe band also recently anno
unced the launch of Lettuce Red Crush and Orange Crush wine brands with Aq
uila Cellars\, as well as a recipe book of pairings to be included with th
e vinyl album and in digital form. The wine was brought to life by Bloom a
nd Zoidis’ wine distribution company\, Benny & Zoid Selections who made
it accessible to purchase nationwide online. \n“Music and food are very
related\,” said Deitch. “Use the wrong ingredients in either and you c
an ruin the sound and the meal.” \nWith Cook\, it appears Lettuce has t
he right recipe for success… both musically and organizationally. \n“T
his is the best team we’ve ever had\,” said Deitch of his current mana
gement. “We feel like the world is our oyster. Our concepts and ideas ca
n really come to fruition now with our infrastructure. It’s beautiful to
be in a headspace of feeling this fresh. It’s the start of a brand-new
 era for us.”

Chambers)\, while working with an orchestra can be traced in the epic cine
matic score of the closing “Ghost of Yest\,” which Deitch terms\, “a
cool tune that has symphonic influences.” \nThe band also recently anno
unced the launch of Lettuce Red Crush and Orange Crush wine brands with Aq
uila Cellars\, as well as a recipe book of pairings to be included with th

it accessible to purchase nationwide online. \n“Music and food are very
related\,” said Deitch. “Use the wrong ingredients in either and you c

DESCRIPTION:miniBOS is a Seattle-based chamber-prog quartet making bold\,
rhythmically driven instrumental music that is both meticulously crafted
and completely alive. Led by guitarist and composer Andrew Boscardin\, th
e band draws from post-rock\, new music\, art rock\, and creative improvis
ation to build songs from interlocking patterns\, layered textures\, and w
ide dynamic shifts. \nThe band features Rebekah Ko on mallet percussion\,
Mack Grout on keyboards\, and Evan Woodle on drums. \nTogether\, miniBOS c
reates music that feels vivid\, playful\, and immersive\, balancing tight
ensemble interplay with the thrill of the unknown. Fans of post-rock\, pro
gressive music\, and adventurous instrumental music may hear echoes of Kin
 g Crimson’s rhythmic precision\, Brian Eno’s collaborations with Clust
er and Harmonia\, and Yarn/Wire’s sonic experimentation. But miniBOS ult
imately sounds like itself: dynamic\, collaborative\, and always in motion

amp.com/album/the-spits-self-titled-1-lpIn an era that relies so heavily o
n quick-hit bands\, there are very few things that are truly part of the s
ubculture and not just the passing zeitgeist du jour. Closing in on three
decades\, The Spits have signified the crossroads between punk mayhem and
well-honed songwriting\, creating some of the most unhinged and anthemic t
racks in underground music while standing tall enough to be uttered in the
same breath as names like Jay Reatard\, Dead Moon\, Ty Segall and more.Th
e Spits are readying their highly anticipated VI\, due May 1 via their own
Thriftstore Records imprint. Recorded by Erik Nervous on cassette four tr
ack\, the bands new LP VI is ten hummable tracks\, shrouded in chainsaw pu
nk that mesh the wild showmanship of party-rock legends Van Halen and the
leather-clad toughness and songwriting chops of the Misfits. Marking a ret
urn to roots approach for the LP\, the band decided to record and write VI
in the basements of Kalamazoo and Grand Rapids\, Michigan over the course
of several spurts of activity\, each yielding a few new songs from a terr
ible drum kit with a literal thrift store guitar. Weve only been into an a
ctual studio like three times\, admits Sean Wood. I dont think weve had on
e record that was recorded all in one place\, this may be the closest thin
 g. And for these songs wed record a couple tracks\, step away and go back
at it later sometimes weeks later. You know\, take our time.Originally fro
m Kalamazoo\, Michigan\, brothers Sean and Erin Wood formed The Spits with
Lance Phelps in 1993 after realizing rock had gone limp\, hated partying
and just plain wasnt fun anymore. And even though they didnt even know how
to play\, the self-professed deliquents who grew up with New Orleansstyle
jazz and bluegrass got cultured and formed a band dead set on reminding t
he world how to have a good time. The Spits didnt fit in with the punks or
the garageheads when they landed in Seattle two years later\, but carved
out their own path with a series of empty open mic nights and parties unde
r a bridge in the University District. Things started snowballing a year o
r two later with a good word from Mudhoneys Steve Turner and a reputation
for livewire gigs.https://suxmusic.bandcamp.com/musicWith a musical style
that can only be described as really good\, SUX has captivated audiences w
orldwide. Revered for their relentless rock energy\, they have earned a re
putation as the best band in the world\, leaving men trembling in fear. Th
eir commitment to energy conservation is unwavering\, always ensuring to t
urn the lights off when they depart any venue. https://dishpit666.bandcamp

\, tenderness\, and the tensions that exist within.

the public is drawn. Qualified sound “blasters” have established elect

 /slovenly.bandcamp.com/album/the-spits-self-titled-1-lpIn an era that reli
es so heavily on quick-hit bands\, there are very few things that are trul
y part of the subculture and not just the passing zeitgeist du jour. Closi
ng in on three decades\, The Spits have signified the crossroads between p
unk mayhem and well-honed songwriting\, creating some of the most unhinged
and anthemic tracks in underground music while standing tall enough to be
uttered in the same breath as names like Jay Reatard\, Dead Moon\, Ty Seg
all and more. The Spits are readying their highly anticipated VI\, due May
1 via their own Thriftstore Records imprint. Recorded by Erik Nervous on c
assette four track\, the bands new LP VI is ten hummable tracks\, shrouded
in chainsaw punk that mesh the wild showmanship of party-rock legends Van
Halen and the leather-clad toughness and songwriting chops of the Misfits
. Marking a return to roots approach for the LP\, the band decided to reco
rd and write VI in the basements of Kalamazoo and Grand Rapids\, Michigan
over the course of several spurts of activity\, each yielding a few new so
ngs from a terrible drum kit with a literal thrift store guitar. Weve only
been into an actual studio like three times\, admits Sean Wood. I dont th
ink weve had one record that was recorded all in one place\, this may be t
he closest thing. And for these songs wed record a couple tracks\, step aw
ay and go back at it later sometimes weeks later. You know\, take our time
.Originally from Kalamazoo\, Michigan\, brothers Sean and Erin Wood formed
The Spits with Lance Phelps in 1993 after realizing rock had gone limp\,
hated partying and just plain wasnt fun anymore. And even though they didn
t even know how to play\, the self-professed deliquents who grew up with N
ew Orleansstyle jazz and bluegrass got cultured and formed a band dead set
on reminding the world how to have a good time. The Spits didnt fit in wi
th the punks or the garageheads when they landed in Seattle two years late
r\, but carved out their own path with a series of empty open mic nights a
nd parties under a bridge in the University District. Things started snowb
alling a year or two later with a good word from Mudhoneys Steve Turner an
 d a reputation for livewire gigs.https://famouslizards.bandcamp.com/album/

DESCRIPTION:Greetings\, Diocese of Olympia. The holiday season is upon us.
You know this\, of course\, because it’s been upon us since probably ea
rly October when at least I first saw those holiday M&Ms in their red-and-
green variety encouraging me to buy them even before the Halloween candy w
as gone. And yet here we are just beginning this season of Advent\, of wat
ching and waiting as we prepare for the coming of the Christ child again a
nd as we prepare for the coming of Christ into our midst a second time. A
number of years ago now\, I came across a book and a website about the Adv
ent conspiracy. It’s online at adventconspiracy.org. There were three pa
stors who got together who wanted to make this time of Advent more meaning
ful for their parishioners. And so they began to question all that surroun
ds the consumerism within our culture\, and wondered if we could get back
to the real meaning of this time. They suggest that we focus on four thing
s during this season of Advent. First\, that we worship fully\, recognizin
g that this season is an invitation for us to watch and wait for the comin
g of Christ\, and that we can watch and wait more fully when we engage wit
h the living God and starting our practice there rather than trying to fig
ure out what’s on our list and checking it twice. The second thing they
encourage us to do is to spend less\, to take less money and put it toward
s those gifts that are really unimportant. You know those ones\, where you
’re buying something willy-nilly to stuff into a stocking or those gifts
  for your friends\, brothers\, sisters\, aunt or uncle\, and this random p
erson twice removed. It gets kind of crazy how long that list really gets\
, isn’t it? And they recognize that many in our culture will end this se
ason with credit card debt or needing to pay back things that they bought
that they thought someone might like\, but really didn’t. Their third th
ing that they encourage us to do is to give more\, which is not the same t
hing as spending less mind you\, because what they encourage is that we\,
in our gift-giving\, really dig into the relationship of those gifts to gi
ve something that encourages and builds our connections with others. Thing
s that take time and energy to invest in and think about\, rather than jus
t buying another sweater for somebody. To say maybe what could we do toget
her to deepen our connections and to find new ways to learn from each othe
 r. Finally\, they encourage us to love all recognizing that how much money
we spend during this time\, we could be giving gifts that might help impa
ct those around the world who might be needy. They encourage you to maybe
give the gift of water to a community or maybe an animal through Heifer In
ternational\, or finding other ways to connect through gift-giving on beha
lf of others\, to give things to people who might really need it. Those th
ings would indeed help us to get ready for the coming of Christ. It would
be a conspiracy against all that our culture holds dear\, and yet would br
ing us closer to the real meaning of this time. So\, I encourage you this
Advent to think about maybe doing just one or two of those things. To find
new ways to worship or to spend less\, to give more\, to love all. And th
rough that process\, draw closer to the one who is coming again\, the one
for whom we long for and wait\, the one who comes to set us free and to br
ing peace for us and for all the world. May this season of Advent be a ble
ssing to you and to those that you love. And may we truly be ready to gree
t the Christ child when he comes once more into our midst.
