DESCRIPTION:DUNE* Mini-Comics Night is where folks are invited to create t
he contents of a black and white\, 5.5” x 8.5” printed anthology withi
n a limited amount of time\, in one evening with no prompts or themes. Cre
ate whatever you want but it must be physical and finished by the end of t
he night. \nAn exclusive edition of the book will be published and distrib
uted to only the contributors at the following DUNE meet-up. \n \nThis is
a night of communal productivity and creation with a deadline\, not just d
rinking and drawing. It is also meant to be a challenge to one’s abiliti
es to create a finished piece of self-satisfied work within the limitation
 s. Bring the art supplies and paper that you are most comfortable working
with and join dozens of illustrators and cartoonists on the 4th Tuesday of
each month from 5pm – 9pm. Space fills up quickly so be on time or you
may have to wait for space to create. \n \nAs always\, this is a community
funded project and we’ll ask for donations of $5 per submission for pri
nting/publishing and renting the space at the historic Hugo House. Please
do our hosts a favor and order one drink minimum from the Book Bar. \n \nA

DESCRIPTION:When couples come to therapy\, it’s because they’re stuck
 — repeating the same fights\, shutdowns\, and escalations over and over
again. \nAs the therapist\, the pressure is on you to help them break that
cycle. \nBut here’s the real challenge: what’s driving those moments
 isn’t insight\, communication\, or willingness to change… \n…it’s
their nervous system going into survival mode. \nWhen that happens\, it do
esn’t matter what skills you’ve taught them — they won’t be able t
o access any of it. \nThat’s where the Psychobiological Approach to Coup
le Therapy (PACT) changes everything! \nDeveloped by Stan Tatkin\, PsyD\,
MFT\, PACT teaches you to track what’s actually happening in the room
 — in real time. Nervous system states. Survival strategies. The moment-t
o-moment interaction happening below the words. \nThat’s where relations
hip breakdown occurs – and it’s the only place real change can happen.
\nJoin Dr. Stan Tatkin for this free two-day workshop and discover how to
 : \nTrack micro-shifts in face\, voice\, and body—so you catch escalatio
n as it starts\nSpot “can’t change” in real time (and stop mistaking
it for resistance)\nIntervene while the pattern is live—not after it’
 s already taken over\nTurn sessions into structured\, in-the-room experien
ces that create immediate change\nWork the couple as a single system—so
both partners shift\, together\nIf you work with couples—or want to—th
is workshop will fundamentally change how you understand and treat relatio
nship distress. \nRegister now and start working where change actually hap
 pens.
