DESCRIPTION:REMINDER: What happens when you combine Oktoberfest spirit\, l
ocal restaurants\, craft drinks\, classic arcade games and a little myster
y? \nYou get Prost! The OktoberCrawl™\, the newest chapter in the Des Mo
ines Crawl Series™\, coming to the Marina District this Friday night\, S
ept. 18. \nProduced by Seattle Means Business in partnership with Friends
of Des Moines Marina Steps\, the OktoberCrawl is a progressive food-and-d
rink experience designed to get people out\, exploring local businesses an
d enjoying Des Moines one stop at a time. \nThe concept is simple: four of
ficial stops\, one secret stop\, great food and drinks\, good company and
a little adventure along the way. \n🍻 Five Stops. One Big Night.\n\nThe
evening begins at the Quarterdeck\, where crawlers will kick things off w
aterfront-style with drinks\, German-inspired bites and the first taste of
the evening.\nFrom there\, the group heads to Waterland Arcade\, trading
steins for joysticks with classic arcade games\, craft beers\, ciders and
 a healthy dose of nostalgia.\nNext comes Arturo’s Mexican Restaurant\, w
here the Oktoberfest theme takes an unexpected turn. Guests can expect Mex
ican-German-inspired bites and drinks at one of Des Moines’ local favori
tes.\nThe fourth official stop is Portovino Italian Restaurant\, offering
 a late-night Italian appetizer with a German-inspired twist—along with a
little something sweet to finish the evening.\n\nAnd then there’s… \n
 🤫 The Secret Stop\nEven after four official stops\, the night isn’t o
ver. \nA fifth location will remain secret until crawlers are ready to dis
cover it. \nBecause what’s an OktoberCrawl without a little mystery? \n
🇩🇪 An Oktoberfest Experience With a Des Moines Twist\nWhile the even
t takes its inspiration from Oktoberfest\, Prost! The OktoberCrawl™ is d
istinctly local. \nRather than centering the experience around a single ve
nue\, the crawl invites participants to move through the Marina District\,
discovering restaurants and entertainment along the way. \nIt’s part fo
od tour\, part neighborhood adventure and part social experience—with ea
ch stop offering something different. \nAnd costumes are encouraged. Leder
hosen? Dirndl? Oktoberfest hat? Go for it. \nThe goal isn’t simply to ea
t and drink. It’s to experience the businesses\, people and personality
that make Des Moines special. \n🍺 More Than a Crawl\nThe Des Moines Cra
wl Series™ was created around a simple idea: local businesses are more f
un when people experience them together. \nBy bringing people into multipl
e establishments during one evening\, the crawl creates opportunities for
guests to discover places they may not have visited before while helping k
eep dollars circulating within the local community. \n“The crawl is real
ly about discovery\,” says Bettina Carey\, producer of the Des Moines C
rawl Series™. “We want people to experience local businesses in a fun\
, unexpected way—to meet their neighbors\, try something new and see Des
Moines from a different perspective.” \nThat spirit is especially fitti
ng for the Marina District\, where waterfront restaurants\, entertainment
and neighborhood businesses come together within an easy walking experienc
 e. \n\n\n\n🎟️ Get Your Crawl On\nPROST! THE OKTOBERCRAWL™ \n\n📅
 Friday\, September 18\, 2026\n📍 Des Moines Marina District\n⏰ Starts
