DESCRIPTION:Plan to attend an in-person Creative Reset workshop at the chu
rch on the evening of Thursday\, September 17th from 6:30 to 8:00 pm. Led
by Jodi Wade\, during the workshop participants will engage in a series of
fun\, hands-on creative activities using materials like magazines\, paper
\, pens\, scissors\, and glue (all provided). No artistic experience is ne
eded\; the goal is simply to play\, explore\, and experience the benefits
of creativity in a supportive environment. \nWhy is creative play good for
us? Creative activity reduces stress. Even 20 minutes of creative activit
y lowers stress and improves mood. The act of making something calms the n
ervous system. It boosts energy and well-being. Doing something creative i
ncreases positive emotions like energy\, curiosity\, and engagement. Peopl
e often feel better after making something\, even if it’s simple. It imp
roves how we think. \nCreative exercises are used in design thinking and i
nnovation because they help people see new possibilities and generate idea
 s. Even looking closely at images can improve observation skills and probl
em solving because it trains the brain to notice details and patterns we m
ight otherwise miss.  \nAdults don’t play enough.  As children we spen
 d a lot of time playing\, experimenting\, and making things. As adults\, m
ost of that disappears. But play and experimentation are important for lea
 rning\, curiosity\, and well-being. \nClass size is limited\, send an emai
l to contact@magnoliaucc.org to inquire about registration.

DESCRIPTION:A free\, public workshop—no technical background needed \
nMost of us already know that companies\, governments\, and apps collec
t a lot of data about us. That part isn’t new. \nWhat is new is what
AI makes possible with that data. \nFor years\, the privacy conversatio
 n has mostly been about tracking\, ads\, data brokers\, social media\, and
surveillance. Those concerns still matter. But advanced AI changes the pi
cture: once powerful models can analyze huge amounts of text\, images\, lo
cation data\, purchases\, messages\, and online behavior at scale\, the va
lue of personal data goes way up—and so do the risks. \nThis workshop
will look at how the data and privacy landscape worked before AI\, and wh
at may change now that sophisticated AI systems can search\, summarize\, i
nfer\, predict\, and act on massive amounts of personal information. \n
Together\, we’ll explore questions like: \nSurveillance: How could AI
make it easier to monitor people\, identify patterns\, and draw conclusio
ns from huge amounts of data? \nIncentives: Why might companies and gov
ernments have stronger reasons than ever to collect\, store\, and analyze
personal information? \nAdvertising & persuasion: How could AI make tar
geted advertising\, political messaging\, and behavioral manipulation more
personalized and more effective? \nScams & attacks: What happens when
bad actors can use AI to personalize fraud\, phishing\, impersonation\, an
 d social engineering at scale? \nWhat you’ll get: \nA clear\, begi
nner-friendly overview of how data privacy worked before modern AI \nA
practical explanation of why AI changes the value and danger of personal d
ata \nReal examples of how AI is already being used in surveillance\, a
dvertising\, and persuasion \nA live demo showing how today’s tools c
an be used to launch sophisticated scams and attacks at scale \nA frame
work for thinking more clearly about privacy\, power\, and trust in a worl
d where data is easier than ever to analyze \nThis is not a workshop ab
out deleting every app or becoming paranoid about technology. It’s about
understanding the new reality we’re entering. \nAI doesn’t just ma
ke data more useful. It makes data more actionable. And that means the pri
 vacy choices we make—as individuals\, companies\, and societies—are go
ing to matter a lot more than they used to.

beauty\, truth\, and even the divine within religious traditions other tha
n one’s own.  \nIn the book\, the author recounts her experience teachi
ng world religions to undergraduates in rural Georgia and explores the ide
a that God is “out-of-bounds” and cannot be contained by any single re

course as it encourages us to hold our religion lightly and view it as a l

DESCRIPTION:When couples come to therapy\, it’s because they’re stuck
 — repeating the same fights\, shutdowns\, and escalations over and over
again. \nAs the therapist\, the pressure is on you to help them break that
cycle. \nBut here’s the real challenge: what’s driving those moments
 isn’t insight\, communication\, or willingness to change… \n…it’s
their nervous system going into survival mode. \nWhen that happens\, it do
esn’t matter what skills you’ve taught them — they won’t be able t
o access any of it. \nThat’s where the Psychobiological Approach to Coup
le Therapy (PACT) changes everything! \nDeveloped by Stan Tatkin\, PsyD\,
MFT\, PACT teaches you to track what’s actually happening in the room
 — in real time. Nervous system states. Survival strategies. The moment-t
o-moment interaction happening below the words. \nThat’s where relations
hip breakdown occurs – and it’s the only place real change can happen.
\nJoin Dr. Stan Tatkin for this free two-day workshop and discover how to
 : \nTrack micro-shifts in face\, voice\, and body—so you catch escalatio
n as it starts\nSpot “can’t change” in real time (and stop mistaking
it for resistance)\nIntervene while the pattern is live—not after it’
 s already taken over\nTurn sessions into structured\, in-the-room experien
ces that create immediate change\nWork the couple as a single system—so
both partners shift\, together\nIf you work with couples—or want to—th
is workshop will fundamentally change how you understand and treat relatio
nship distress. \nRegister now and start working where change actually hap
 pens.

DESCRIPTION:Most people use ChatGPT by prompting it one conversation at a
time. Custom GPTs let you go further by creating an AI tool designed aroun
 d the way you actually work. \nIn this 90-minute hands-on workshop\, yo
u’ll move through a practical Identify → Plan → Build → Iterate pr
ocess for creating a useful Custom GPT. You’ll start by identifying a re
al task or workflow where AI can help\, then define what your GPT should d
o\, what context it needs\, and what a strong output should look like. Fro
m there\, you’ll build and test your first version during the session. \
nWe’ll close by looking at how to improve your GPT through real-world
use—refining instructions\, adding better examples and context\, and ev
olving it as your needs change. \nYou’ll leave with: \nA Custom GP
T built around a real task you want to improve \nA repeatable framework
for designing future GPTs \nTemplates and guides for planning\, testin
g\, and refining your GPT \nA clearer understanding of how to move from
simply prompting AI to building tools you can use repeatedly \nNo codi
ng or technical background is required. Come with access to ChatGPT and on
e or two tasks you regularly do that you’d like AI to help you do better
