xtensive and intensive deep dive into World Religions class that will begi
n in November\, we will have a book study in September of the book Holy En
vy by Barbara Brown Taylor. This is an amazing book that explores finding
beauty\, truth\, and even the divine within religious traditions other tha
n one’s own.  \nIn the book\, the author recounts her experience teachi
ng world religions to undergraduates in rural Georgia and explores the ide
a that God is “out-of-bounds” and cannot be contained by any single re
ligion. This book will be a wonderful preparation for our World Religions
course as it encourages us to hold our religion lightly and view it as a l
ens to see God rather than the only source of truth.
