 un!!!!\n\nFRIDAY 09.11\n~ 3pm to 5pm – Ruby’s for 6th Annual kickoff\,
  Mascot debut. They will have dog activities\, raffle baskets\, treats (hu
 man & ween). The restaurant will be closed & reserved just for DachSand.\n
 ~ 7:30pm – Weenie roast fire on the beach\, south of the Turnaround just
  30ft or so away from the ramps\, just look for weenies and fire lol. You 
 have to supply you own hot dogs & smores. Plates / napkins / sticks will b
 e provided. Bring whatever else you want. Bring your own drinks (alcohol i
 s allowed\, no glass )\, a blanket\, chairs\, etc to sit and hangout. This
  even will last 2-4 hrs so come anytime\, if the fires still burning come 
 on down. \nSATURDAY 09.12\n~ 12pm – Group photo (meet in the sand across
  from the Aquarium)\n~ 12:30pm – DachSand 2026\, meet in the sand across
  from the Aquarium. There will be a merch table\, sign in books\, raffle b
 askets\, silent auction\, 50/50 raffle\, random giveaways\, longest weener
  (NEW)\, costume contest\, doxie derby\, concessions and human slot machin
 e\, belly rub scratchers (NEW).\n12:30-1:30 – Back by popular demand Kiz
 zie Jones\, author of the Dachshund Tall Tales series will be joining us o
 n the beach this year for a book signing  you can find her by the auction
  & raffle tables.\n~ 1pm – 2pm – Get your photo taken by Willow Bee Ph
 otography (PRE-PAY THIS YEAR MORE DETAILS TO COME LATER). She’s offering
  2 free downloads (the group photo & another photo of your choice) and the
 n other photos are available for purchase at her website.\n~ 1:30pm – La
 st call for raffles/auction and gather up for the drawings\n~ 2pm – All 
 drawings\n~ 3pm – 5pm – Competitions!! Longest Weener (NEW)\, Doxie De
 rby (limited to 150) and Costume Contests on the beach! Registration will 
 be online & in person\, and until 1:30pm Saturday. ***wait list signup wil
 l open up to 15 people at 1pm. Thye go to it starting at 1:30pm if there a

 cal genres to the Long Beach Peninsula for 41 years – from classical\, t

 will experience the incredible talent of Latino/world-class artists Diego 
 Figueiredo and Chuchito Valdes\, each bringing a trio of amazing instrumen
 talists. Concertgoers will enjoy the exciting performance of each trio sep
 arately\, and then all six musicians will come together for the final port
 ion of the concert. AND TO ADD TO THIS EXCITEMENT\, the Ilwaco High School
  mariachi band has been invited to join these professional musicians for t
 he finale!\nArtists:\nDiego Figueiredo Trio\nChuchito Valdes Trio\nIlwaco 
 High School Mariachi Ensemble\nBrazilian guitarist Diego Figueiredo (prono
 unced “fig-a-ray-doe”) lives in\, with\, and for the music. Some peopl
 e are simply meant to be musicians. Diego is one. He began playing music a
 t four years old. By the age of twelve he had already attracted a local fo
 llowing\, and when he was fifteen\, he was drawing huge crowds around Braz
 il. Diego is now considered among the world’s greatest (jazz) guitarists
 . His skills on his instrument are matched only by his ability to move fre
 ely between styles\, and his sublime technique is paired with an exquisite
  ability to vary his playing so that it radiates with unwavering excitemen
 t. George Benson says “Diego is one of the greatest guitarists I’ve se
 en in my whole life.”\n7-time Latin GRAMMY nominee Chuchito Valdés\, fo
 llowing in the footsteps of his famed father Chucho Valdés and grandfathe
 r Bebo Valdés\, continues the legacy of great piano players form Cuba. Wi
 th influences of Caribbean rhythms and jazz\, Chuchito creates an exciting
  and energetic blend of spicy music that drives audiences wild. This piano
  master captivates with his sensitivity and drives excitement with his dyn
 amic band. Chuchito is recognized as a master of Cuban music. In his perfo
 rmances\, Chuchito’s music draws on many styles including Afro-Cuban Lat
 in Jazz\, Bebop\, Danzon\, Cha-Cha-Cha\, Son Montuno and much more. Chuchi
 to Valdés currently resides in Cancun\, Mexico and is a frequent performe
