DESCRIPTION:If you were invited to sit at a table with someone you’ve ne
ver met before and answer handwritten questions from a wooden box about t
he state of America\, would you run the other way? The Work in Prog
ress invites strangers from across generations and geographies to engage
in candid discussions about America’s ever-evolving democracy\, ident
ity\, and definitions of community — and where the heck we go from her
 e. Guided by questions posed by Executive Producer Robert Reich\, particip
ants sit down in a series of conversations with one another to explore
the country they’re living in now and the one they still believe is
possible. \nThese encounters are intercut with portraits of Americans at
  work — in woodshops\, laboratories\, fields\, board rooms\, recordi
ng studios\, theaters\, and beyond. The message is simple but profound:
America can work because\, in many ways\, it’s already working. And
a central part of the work ahead is to reclaim the practices of dialo
 gue\, debate\, compromise\, and perhaps most importantly\, listening\, so
that we might find our footing again. \nWhat emerges in The Work in P
rogress is an unusual and provocative glimpse of America in its 250th y
ear\, and an invitation to all Americans to pull up a chair\, invite a str
anger\, and lend an ear. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCenter for Contempora

DESCRIPTION:New members welcome!\nThe EcoDharma group\, known as the Turtl
es\, convenes on the FIRST & THIRD Thursday of the month at 7pm MST follow
ing teisho. \nMeetings take place both in person at Mountain Cloud and onl
 ine via: \nsit.mountaincloud.org\nPasscode: mountain22 \nDuring these gath
erings\, we’ll delve into the question: “How can we\, as Zen practitio
ners\, respond to the current ecological crises with open hearts?” Our d
iscussion will include analysis of recent environmental events\, relevant
media\, and our personal reflections on these issues. \n∞ \nSince 2023\,
members of Mountain Cloud have been engaging in deep dialogue and learnin
g about key environmental and ecological issues and how we respond. We gat
her as sangha to support each other in our commitment to the healing of th
e world and welfare of all beings. We learn from and inspire one another t
hrough reading\, discussion\, and sharing our personal interests and actio
ns. As we acknowledge and become more aware of the magnitude of our planet
ary crisis\, we aspire to transform climate grief and confusion into energ
y and direction for wise\, compassionate action. \nAs one Turtle member p
ut it: “I am coming to see that this work is about facing the unknown. M
y feelings of powerlessness and guilt are changing as I see\, honor\, and
am inspired by other’s actions. I realize that they are like seeds germi
nating in my life.” \nAll Mountain Cloud members are most welcome to joi
 n.  For more information or to join the email list\, email Abby Shepard:
