ps screaming. No exit in sight. The Schizophonics kick the door in and nev
er let it close. This San Diego–based three-piece delivers a live show t
hat’s loud and dangerously fun—an all-gas\, no-brakes blast of feedbac
 k and groove. It’s full-contact rock ’n’ roll: high voltage\, high v
elocity\, and sharpened to a blade. The band features Pat Beers on vocals
and guitar\, Lety Beers on drums\, and Sarah Linton on bass. Together they
unleash a fuzz-soaked\, funk-fueled attack built on pounding rhythm and f
eral energy. Every song hits like a charge. Every set feels like the floor

the event ==== RAYLAND BAXTER For the making of his fourth album If I Wer
e a Butterfly \, Rayland Baxter holed up for over a year at a former rubbe
r-band factory turned studio in the Kentucky countryside—a seemingly hum
ble environment that proved to be something of a wonderland. “I spent th
at year living in a barn with the squirrels and the birds\, on my own most
of the time\, and I discovered so much about music and how to create it\,
” says the Tennessee-bred singer/songwriter. “Instead of going into a
studio with a producer for two weeks\, I just waited for the record to bui
ld itself. I’d get up and go outside\, see a butterfly and connect that
with some impulsive thought I’d had three months ago\, and suddenly a so
ng I’d been working on would make sense. That’s how the whole album ca
me to be.” The follow-up to 2018’s critically acclaimed Wide Awake \,
If I Were a Butterfly finds Baxter co-producing alongside Tim O’Sullivan
(Grace Potter\, The Head and the Heart) and Kai Welch (Molly Tuttle\, Sie
rra Hull)\, slowly piecing together the album’s patchwork of lush psyche
delia and Beatlesesque pop. In addition to working at Thunder Sound (the K
entucky studio he called home for months on end)\, Baxter recorded in Cali
 fornia\, Texas\, Tennessee\, and Washington\, enlisting a remarkable lineu
p of musicians: Shakey Graves\, Lennon Stella\, several members of Cage th
e Elephant\, Zac Cockrell of Alabama Shakes\, Morning Teleportation’s Tr
avis Goodwin\, and legendary Motown drummer Miss Bobbye Hall\, among many
others. In an especially meaningful turn\, two of the album’s tracks fea
ture the elegant pedal steel work of his father\, Bucky Baxter (a musician
who performed with Bob Dylan and who passed away in May 2020). Thanks to
the extraordinary care and ingenuity behind its creation\, If I Were a But
terfly arrives as a work of rarefied magic\, capable of stirring up immens
e feeling while leaving the listener happily wonderstruck.

DESCRIPTION:Dinner Special:\nCajun Turkey Meatloaf\nMashed Potatoes\nHouse
Salad\nBaguette\n*meat or veggie chili will be available to order at the
 counter \n––– \nBrass Queens is a female-led\, New York-based brass
band that has been dominating the brass band scene since 2019.  \nFinding
that they shared similar frustrations about the emerging brass band scene
in New York City\, co-founders Alex Harris and Ally Chapel formed a group
dedicated to showcasing the talents of female musicians in a landscape th
at was dominated by male musicians and bandleaders. After debuting in Marc
h 2019\, Brass Queens grew to be a fixture in the local music scene and wa
s dubbed “the hardest working band in town” by their peers. The Queens
gained a dedicated following through outdoor performances on the streets
of Brooklyn and playing pop-up events in their community through the pande
mic. Now\, a core value of the band is to play for as many audiences as po
ssible to increase the visibility of female musicians.  \nThe band has de
veloped a signature style that sits right at the intersection of the Big A
pple and the Big Easy. Their sound is deeply inspired by\, and pays homage
to\, the New Orleans brass band tradition while injecting the upbeat\, mu
ltifaceted energy of their New York home into each performance. In Novembe
r 2023\, the band released their first full-length album titled Black & Go
ld\, which is an ode to the Brass Queen’s incredible early fanbase who s
upported the band from the virtual performances and socially-distanced str
eet corners during the COVID-19 pandemic\, to the crowded clubs and packed
venues of today. Less than a year later\, Brass Queens released their sec
ond full-length album and their first album of all-original music\, titled
Hot Tub Sessions Vol. I. \nBrass Queens Website\n(Ticket Includes 5% City
