DESCRIPTION:At its core\, Chucho’s work is an exploration of identity. H
is paintings seamlessly integrate ancestral heritage\, pop culture and spi
ritual themes—executed with a stunning technical precision that he has h
oned over the last 25 years. The scale\, level of detail and trompe l’oe
il within his works create an immersive and mesmerizing world that is trul
y something to behold. \nComing from a long line of storytellers\, childho
od dyslexia made continuing this family tradition challenging\, but simult
aneously led him to explore various visual media. In painting\, he found a
vehicle to continue his storytelling lineage. Growing up\, Chucho was gre
atly influenced by his grandfather\, a woodworker: \n“My grandfather tau
ght me that being alone never meant you had to be lonely. I believe alone-
time is where the magic lives. Attention to detail and precision is part o
 f every painting I create.” – Chucho \nIndah Gallery is open Fridays\,
Saturdays and Sundays from 12pm-5pm. \n*Gallery cannot be accessed from H
wy 154\, only from N Refugio Rd.
