We will be able to nosh on some hors d’oeuvre’s and get re acquainted with the p rimo gruppo crew and welcome the secondo gruppo participants. Your evening will be free to explore some of the many fine restaurants in SLO county a nd you might consider visiting the Sensario art exhibit\nDay 1: We will b egin our adventure in historic Paso Robles and wind our way up scenic CA H ighway 1 which skirts the Pacific Ocean. We will stop at the elephant seal rookery and have lunch at either Nepenthe (the last stronghold of the hip pie movement and home of the world famous Ambrosia Burger) or the auto the med Baja Cantina (you get to vote!). We will then proceed to Carmel Vally Road and the historic Arroyo Seco until we reach Peach Tree Road and India n Valley Road. We will end a long but rewarding day with a no host taco fe ed. We will experience one of Americas most iconic highways\, coastal vall eys\, wine and cattle country.\nDay 2: After drivers meeting\, we will em bark through the Adelaide wine region and pass through the coastal mountai n range. From there we head inland through the rolling hills of cattle cou ntry to Los Olivos where there are several lunch spots to pick from . Afte r lunch we will make our way back through San Luis Obispo where you can do the tourist thing. I will arrange reservations at the iconic McPhees Gril l or you can pick from hundreds of fine local eateries\nDay 3: For the la st day we join one of our sponsors\, the CCCR-PCA club and tour inland to Pine Mountain. We will caravan down to Santa Maria to join club members be fore we head inland. We will stop for a no host lunch on the way. Expect s cenic valley views\, pine forest and rolling hills\; lots of twisties.\nSa turday evening we will dine at the new Cambria Hotel in Templeton\; tradit ional Santa Maria BBQ for awards\, Prizes\, tall tale telling and general mischief.\nExpect photo runs\, dummkopf awards\, great food\, good wine\, cool prizes\, fantastic drives and really great people\; the kind of good time money can’t buy.
