She is currently the executive director at Napa County Land marks.At the University of Florida\, Christine taught courses at the Colle ge of Design\, Construction and Planning and co-directed the first statewi de survey “Mid-Century Modern Architecture in Florida (1945-75)\,” whi ch was awarded a Documentation Award for Excellence by Docomomo-US. Over h er career\, she has raised more than $2.5 million for non-profit causes in art and architecture. Her book “The Architecture of Suspense: The Built World in the Films of Alfred Hitchcock\,” focusing on the real-world hi stories of cinematic structures\, was released by the University of Virgin ia Press and an excerpt of the Villain’s Lair chapter is featured in the October 2022 issue of Vanity Fair. Before founding the company in 2023\, she spent 10 yea rs working for environmental planning and cultural resources firms\, as we ll as the County of Santa Barbara. She meets the Secretary of the Interior ’s Standards as a historian and architectural historian and has a strong background working with the California Environmental Quality Act and Sect ions 106 and 110 of the National Historic Preservation Act.Amber is passio nate about the responsible management of historic resources and creative m itigation strategies that balance stakeholder needs. She has collaborated with state and local jurisdictions\, the military\, nonprofits\, developer s\, and homeowners on projects of varying scales. Her experience includes peer review for local governments and expert witness testimony on CEQA rel ated cultural resource issues. Amber has made presentations to planning co mmissions\, historic landmark commissions\, and boards of architectural re view where she became familiar with public participation during public hea rings and the importance of public comment in framing local issues.
