 ing of the Streets\, the long-running hopping competition\, will return as
  part of the celebration. \nThis year’s celebration carries special sign
 ificance as the San Francisco Lowrider Council  marks its 45th anniversary
 . To honor more than four decades of culture\, artistry and resistance\, t
 he Council is partnering with the Mission Cultural Center to host a specia
 l anniversary art exhibit showcasing the rich history\, photography\, and 
 evolution of the lowrider movement. \nAs part of National Hispanic Heritag
 e Month  (September 15 – October 15\, 2026)\, this signature cultural ce
 lebration brings together lowrider clubs\, artists\, families\, local busi
 nesses\, and visitors from across the country to celebrate the creativity\
 , resilience\, and cultural legacy of the Latino community.\nA Cruise with
  a Purpose \nProduced by the San Francisco Lowrider Council and Cultura y 
 Arte Nativa de Las Américas (CANA)\, the event is more than a parade — 
 it is a Cruise with a Purpose. \nThe celebration highlights lowriding as a
  powerful form of artistic expression\, cultural identity\, and community 
 pride\, while supporting Mission District small businesses\, local artists
 \, and ongoing cultural preservation efforts. \nLocal businesses will once
  again participate in the celebration with Lowrider-inspired food and cult
 ural offerings that reflect the creativity and entrepreneurial spirit of t
 he neighborhood.\nThe Thrill of the Hop & The Canvas of the Culture \nThe 
 “King of the Streets” Hopping Competition returns with top lowriders f
 rom across the nation competing in a dynamic showcase of craftsmanship\, i
 nnovation\, and hydraulic performance. Competitors will vie for championsh
 ip titles and cash prizes\, while audiences experience one of the most ele
 ctrifying expressions of lowrider culture. \nAt the same time\, the celebr
 ation expands from the streets to the gallery. The 45th Anniversary Exhibi
 t at the Mission Cultural Center will offer attendees a deeper visual look
  at the Council’s roots in the Mission District. Featuring archival medi
