DESCRIPTION:What is a Bird Walk? \nOur team visits the Breeding Season Sur
vey study sites year-round to see what is going on with birds in the month
s that they are not breeding and raising chicks. These surveys are less fo
rmal than what you experienced during the spring and summer months. Instea
d of going to specific points and running a 6-minute observation\, we simp
ly stroll and keep tally of what we hear and see. \nConsider this a birdin
g training ground! \nThese outings are open to all birders to keep their b
irding skills sharp\, and continue learning your bird identification! It
’s also a fun way to see some bird activity you don’t readily witness
in the spring and summer. \nNo binoculars? No problem! We have pairs to le
nd you. \nWhat do I need to bring? Please bring water\, a hat\, and curios
ity. \nWeather Statement These are outdoor programs and are subject to inc
lement weather. Your guide will email you ahead of the program to notify o
f any changes due to weather. \nCOVID19 GUIDELINES: We request all partici
pants to our programs to be fully vaccinated for the safety of all. If you
r sick or showing any symptoms of a respiratory virus\, or have recently b
een around someone who is\, please don’t attend. \nQuestions? After you
sign up\, we will send you an email the day before with directions on wher
e to meet us\, and instructions on what to bring. Email: conservation@trac
yaviary.org \nThese outings are intended for adults and adolesents 14YO an
d up. Signup ends 24 hours before event
