The quartet is deeply rooted in the musical traditions of the North Shore. Their performances focus on the rich seafar ing history of Salem and the surrounding coastal communities\, blending vo cal harmonies with traditional acoustic instrumentation. Leader Bob Strom is a musician\, researcher and the author of Old Salem at Sea in Ballad an d Song. His extensive archival work serves as the foundation for much of t he group’s historical repertoire. Jen Strom is a vocalist and multi-inst rumentalist specializing in traditional fiddle tunes. Michael O’Leary is a singer\, storyteller and interpreter of Celtic and maritime songs of Gl oucester.
