DESCRIPTION:The Art Complex Museum and Boston Dance Theater invite you int
o a sensory\, site-responsive work inspired by plants and Robin Wall Kimme
rer.\n\n\nThe PLANTS Project is a site-responsive performance created by t
he artists of Boston Dance Theater in collaboration with visual artist Kim
Radochia. Drawing inspiration from the quiet resilience of plant life and
the writings of Indigenous botanist Robin Wall Kimmerer\, the work invite
s audiences into a shared sensory experience of movement\, sound\, and scu
lptural installation. Dancers move through the space like tendrils of grow
th\, attuning to one another\, the land\, and the invisible networks that
sustain life. Rooted in slowness\, sensitivity\, and ecological imaginatio
n\, Unfurling asks us to notice what is often overlooked and to sense our
place within a living\, interdependent world. Audience participation and o
pen conversation are integral to the work\, creating space for communal in
quiry into how we relate\, to one another\, to place\, and to the more-tha
n-human world\, through the evolving wisdom of plant life.
