See our full list of events at pem.org/salem40 0. \nAbout our collaborator\nThe Fo’c’sle Four\nThe Fo’c’sle Four is a New England folk ensemble dedicated to preserving and performing trad itional maritime music\, historic ballads and songs from Salem and Glouces ter\, including sea shanties. The quartet is deeply rooted in the musical traditions of the North Shore. Their performances focus on the rich seafar ing history of Salem and the surrounding coastal communities\, blending vo cal harmonies with traditional acoustic instrumentation. Leader Bob Strom is a musician\, researcher and the author of Old Salem at Sea in Ballad an d Song. His extensive archival work serves as the foundation for much of t he group’s historical repertoire. Jen Strom is a vocalist and multi-inst rumentalist specializing in traditional fiddle tunes. Michael O’Leary is a singer\, storyteller and interpreter of Celtic and maritime songs of Gl oucester. Gary Dolinsky rounds out the group as an instrumentalist and voc alist who contributes driving sea shanty choruses and accompaniment on con certina and bouzouki. \nLocation: Main Atrium.
