 Francies\, and others. Cornish was one of seven jazz prodigies worldwide a
 warded a full fellowship to attend the esteemed Herbie Hancock Institute o
 f Jazz at UCLA where he completed his master’s degree. He was a finalist
  in the 2023 American Pianists Awards and the Herbie Hancock International
  Jazz Piano Competition. Cornish has performed extensively across the glob
 e with such notable artists as Joshua Redman\, Louis Cole\, Mark Guiliana\
 , HAIM\, Snoh Aalegra\, Terrace Martin\, Kanye West\, and many more. He st
 rives to inspire freedom and collaboration in his music and community. \nT
 he masterclass (5:30–6:30 PM) will be followed by a live performance (7:

DESCRIPTION:Pianist\, composer and lyricist\, Dave Bass began piano lesson
 s at age seven\, and after high school\, played in bands opening for Capta
 in Beefheart and Alice Cooper. Accepted at Berklee College of Music\, he l
 eft to study piano with Madame Chaloff and composition with George Russell
 . Then\, as Brenda Lee’s pianist\, he toured the world. \nIn San Francis
 co he played with friends like Bobby McFerrin and Babatunde. Fracturing hi
 s wrist and unable to play\, Bass enrolled at the University of California
 \, graduating Phi Beta Kappa and Summa Cum Laude. He went on to UCLA Schoo
 l of Law\, and eventually a Deputy Attorney General in California. \nIn 20
 05\, Bass discovered he could play again and released his first album\, Go
 ne\, in 2010\, featuring Ernie Watts and Mary Stalling. It hit #2 on JazzW
 eek. His second album\, NYC Sessions\, featured Phil Woods. Downbeat award
 ed it 4 stars. His third album\, No Boundaries\, featured Ted Nash and Car
 los Henriquez. \nIn 2021\, Bass focused on the trio\, releasing five trio 
 albums. As of July 2026\, his 5 trio albums had several million plays. \nT
