DESCRIPTION:Burnout among dental professionals is a real and increasing co
ncern. The compounded stressors of complex patient care\, insurance and re
gulatory demands and staffing can take a significant toll on mental health
\, making it harder for you and your team to properly take care of yoursel
ves or your patients. \n\n\n\nTo help navigate these challenges\, start by
understanding key contributors to stress and burnout in dental practices.
Discover practical\, evidence-based strategies to manage stress\, includi
ng mindfulness and breathwork. Explore how strong leadership\, clear commu
nication and an upbeat\, productive work environment can positively affect
you\, your team and your patients. \n\n\n\nTake away actionable tools to
build resilience\, reduce chronic stress and achieve a more balanced and f
ulfilling professional life. \n\n\n\nLearning outcomes: \n\n\n\n\nRecogniz
e the early signs and symptoms of stress and burnout among dental professi
 onals.\n\n\n\nImplement practical strategies\, including mindfulness and c
ommunication techniques\, to manage daily stress for clinicians and patien
ts.\n\n\n\nFoster a positive work environment to enhance retention and sup
 port long-term well-being and quality patient care.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nS

SUMMARY:Implant Crowns Are Not Teeth: Rethinking the Biological Connection

DESCRIPTION:Many clinicians approach implant crowns as direct replacements
for teeth—but this mindset can lead to esthetic compromises\, biomechan
ical failures\, and long-term complications. In this compelling two-hour o
nline course\, you’ll learn why implant restorations require a fundament
ally different design approach. Dr. Stevenson\, an expert in evidence-base
d restorative protocols\, will guide you through the critical differences
between tooth-borne and implant-supported prostheses\, and how to select t
he right abutment\, impression technique\, and material for each case. Whe
ther you’re placing single units or restoring full arches\, this course
will help you make biologically sound decisions that protect your patient
 ’s investment—and your reputation.Learning Objectives:At the conclusio
n of this course\, participants will be able to:1. Evaluate how biological
and biomechanical differences between teeth and implants influence restor
ative planning and design.2. Apply clinical decision-making principles to
select abutments\, retention methods\, and materials that enhance long-ter
m implant success.3. Design a workflow for implant crown delivery that emp
 hasizes esthetics\, occlusion\, and long-term stability.

DESCRIPTION:Orofacial Myofunctional Disorders (OMDs) can significantly inf
 luence craniofacial development\, orthodontic stability\, airway health\,
and overall oral function. Dental professionals are often the first to obs
erve signs of dysfunctional oral habits\, mouth breathing\, low tongue pos
ture\, and atypical swallowing patterns\, yet many clinicians lack a syste
matic approach to screening and referral. \n\n\n\nThis course will review
the etiology and clinical presentation of OMDs and provide practical scree
ning strategies that can be incorporated into routine dental examinations.
Participants will learn to identify red flags associated with airway compr
 omise\, sleep-disordered breathing\, malocclusion\, and temporomandibular
dysfunction.Guidance will also be provided on interdisciplinary collaborat
 ion and appropriate referral pathways.
