 ded as part of the Conservatory expansion. “Paths Around the Glass” is
  a guided outdoor tour that showcases the plants that can not only thriv
 e in Richmond’s climate\, but are designed to provide food and shelter 
 for insects and wildlife. You will discover the adaptive design techniques
  used to create the varied areas around the conservatory\, including: a hi
 llside garden\, a parterre meadow\, a new courtyard for gatherings\, and a
 quatic plants and paths around the new lake area. As you go through the sp
 aces\, you will discover a rich variety of plants that are primarily nativ
 e and are well-suited for this environment from evergreens to hardy perenn
 ials that return each year. The landscape is designed for resilience\, tra
 nsitioning from formal irrigated garden beds to more natural environments 
 that rely on drought-tolerant and self-sustaining plantings that can thriv

 alentine and the Richmond SPCA. Dogs must be up-to-date on vaccines\, mix 
 well with others (both human and canine) and remain on a leash.\nPet guard

 a month dogs are welcome to attend for Fidos After 5! \nIt's the perfect t
 ime to stroll through the gardens with your dog and enjoy beautiful flower
 s\, beverages\, live music\, and more. A suggested "pet admission" donatio
 n of any amount benefits the Richmond SPCA. \nLeashed pets are allowed on 
 Fidos nights only. All dogs must be leashed and current on rabies vaccinat
 ions. Retractable leashes are not permitted. Flat leashes will be availabl
