 ms have captivated millions of readers around the world. One hundred seven
 ty-five years later\, why do we continue to descend into the darkness of 
 his imagination—and of the genres\, from horror to crime\, that he pione
 ered? \n\n\n\nIn these spellbinding and singular book\, Whiting Creative N
 onfiction Grant winner Emily Ogden plumbs the darkness within Poe and ente

 he Poe Museum! Join us Wednesday\, October 7th from 10:00am-2:00pm to cele
 brate Poe’s last day. \n\n\n\nOur Education Coordinator\, Meg Luffman\, 
 will be providing a guided focus tour at 11:00am where we will take a clos
 er look at Poe’s final moments and explore the twenty-six different theo
 ries explaining his death. This tour has a limited capacity. Registration 
 is required. Please note that by registering for this tour you are purchas
 ing museum admission.  \n\n\n\n\nREgister here\n\n\n\n\nExperience a drama
 tic reading of “The Raven” at 12:30pm performed by the Poe Museum’s 
 curator\, Chris Semtner. Afterwards\, guests can participate in a “Raven
  Reading Competition” where guests will attempt to recite “The Raven
 ” from memory. The guest to recite the poem with the most accuracy will 
 receive a gift bag featuring items from the Poe Museum’s gift shop. \n\n
 \n\nSpend the rest of the afternoon reading select Poe poems and short sto
 ries either in the Enchanted Garden or in the Reading Room on the second f
