 Virginia Home Spun Dance Ensemble as they dance through the centuries expl
 oring music from 1760 to 1860. Demonstrations will occur at 11am\, 1pm\, a
 nd 3pm. Each dance demo will be around 45 minutes long and the audience wi
 ll have a chance to participate! While enjoying the performances\, learn 
 how music may have influenced the lives of people in Virginia especially d
 uring the revolution and here at Scotchtown. After each demo\, join a spec
 ial tour of the manor house where we will explore how music was an integra
 l part of Patrick Henry’s home life and perhaps what was played at the w
 edding of his daughter Martha here in October\, 1773. \nThis program is in
 cluded with the purchase of a general admission ticket. Preservation Virgi

 energy\, space\, and human connection by Katarzyna Kozielska. A prominen
 t voice in contemporary European ballet\, Kozielska has created works 
 for leading companies including Tulsa Ballet\, Czech National Ballet\, and
  Chemnitz Ballet. Shaped by her long career with Stuttgart Ballet both
  on and off the stage\, Kozielska’s distinctive choreography unfolds t
 hrough expansive movement and expressive lyricism.  \nArtistic Director 
 Ma Cong brings Melodia\, an evocative work inspired by the music of acclai
 med singer Lhasa de Sela\, to Richmond Ballet. This 2007 creation harness
 es the passion of the human voice to capture the profound beauty of shared
  experiences. \nClassical technique meets a vibrant\, modern landscape of 
 shifting geometry in COLORFORMS by celebrated San Francisco Ballet soloi
 st Myles Thatcher. This sought-after creator\, whose work has been commiss
