  about his new book “A False Perspective: The True Story of the Cornstal
 k Fences in New Orleans.”\nThe Cornstalk Fences are now monuments in New
  Orleans\, but their fascinating story is directly linked to Raleigh and a
  local family in antebellum North Carolina. The family chose an instrument
  that could have generated a timeless legacy\, a tool not just a fence\, b
 ut it is now an epitaph. \n​In his new book\, Gibson explores the surpri
 sing connection between the Cornstalk Fences in New Orleans and the Mordec
 ai family in Raleigh. He will discuss the book\, answer questions\, and co
