DESCRIPTION:Gallery C is pleased to present an exhibition of transparent w
atercolors by Suzanne Hetzel. With more than four decades of dedicated pra
ctice\, Hetzel has developed a signature approach that finds drama and del
ight in the overlooked beauty of the everyday world. Working primarily fro
m life and imagination on 100% rag paper with the finest archival pigments
\, she builds luminous\, richly layered compositions that pulse with color
and energy. Her work has been recognized by the National Watercolor Socie
ty\, the Transparent Watercolor Society of America\, Watercolor West\, and
the Pennsylvania Watercolor Society\, among others\, and has been feature
d three times in the prestigious annual publication Splash. Paintings from
her studio are held in private and public collections throughout the Unit
ed States and Great Britain. This exhibition offers a rare opportunity to

DESCRIPTION:For more than 15 years\, UUFR's Men's Breakfast has been a uni
que opportunity for fellowship among men. We check in on what's happening
in our lives\, and share our thoughts on a topic chosen in advance-- somet
imes serious\, sometimes humorous\, and sometimes both.\n\nOn the third Sa
turday of each month\, we arrive at Founder's Hall at 9am for coffee and b
reakfast\, followed by check-ins and discussion. We run no later than 11am
and often wrap up earlier. Please join us! The Men's Breakfast is open to
anyone who identifies as male.\nRSVP to David Potorti so we can plan our
food needs. If you forget to RSVP\, come anyway\, just let others go first
in line. And let David know if you'd like to be added to the mailing list
to get reminders of our next meeting.

DESCRIPTION:Made by You: Japanese Boro Textile Stitching is a hands-on int
roduction to the Japanese art of visible mending\, transforming fabric scr
aps into a one-of-a-kind stitched textile. \nThis workshop introduces part
icipants to boro\, a centuries-old Japanese textile tradition where worn o
r mended fabric is patched and stitched together. Participants will look a
t boro’s history and the philosophy behind it\, including the idea of wa
bi-sabi\, finding beauty in imperfection and visible signs of use. Then\,
the workshop will teach foundational hand-stitching techniques\, including
running stitch and simple patch attachment\, before designing their own l
ayout using a mix of provided fabric scraps. Everyone will leave with a st
itched textile piece of their own and a working knowledge of a technique t
hey can keep building on at home. \nThis class is for beginners of all ski
ll levels\, ages 10+\, all supplies provided. However\, participants are w
elcome to bring fabric scraps from home with personal meaning (an old shir
t\, a worn pair of jeans\, fabric with sentimental value) to incorporate i
nto their piece. \nThis workshop will take place outdoors at the Hub RTP s
tage. In the event of unfavorable weather\, we do have an indoor backup pl
an. Due to the small-scale format of this project\, each participant needs
to purchase their own ticket in advance.

Baptist Grove Church members to show up for the next ONE Wake Action Meet
ing — and this month\, we’re taking action on affordable housing. \nWh
y does this matter? \nBecause people should be able to live where they wor
k\, raise their families\, and remain part of the communities they call ho
me. We cannot continue operating within the same systems\, hoping develope
rs will choose to set aside a small portion of housing for people who want
to live and work here. \nHousing at every affordability level is an inves
tment in a thriving community. \nWhen people are spending more than 30% of
their income on housing\, they are spending resources that could otherwis
 e support their families\, health\, education\, transportation\, and local
economy. And in Wake County\, more than 1 in 4 households are already exp
eriencing this burden. \nThis is about more than housing. It’s about whe
ther our community remains a place where people can afford to live\, work\

 \n \n Ancient Nubia \n\n \n Ancient Nubia has a
long and glorious past\, but it is frequently eclipsed in the public imag
ination by its northern neighbor\, Egypt. Ancient Nubia: Excavating Treasu
res of the Nile\, from the Museum of Fine Arts\, Boston\, brings into the
limelight the Kingdom of Kush\, an important civilization in the Middle Ni
le Valley\, introducing visitors to its powerful kings and royal women and
the materials excavated from their tombs and pyramids during the Harvard
University – Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition more than 100 years a
go.\nStunning displays highlight the longevity of this almost forgotten ki
ngdom through its three main historical periods spanning almost 3\,000 yea
rs\, speaking to its cultural continuity and adaptation as well as its his
torical and political connections to pharaonic Egypt.\nVisitors can learn
about this other powerful kingdom on the Nile from an archaeological persp
ective with hands-on and digital interactives. A special display highlight
s a connection to the NCMA’s very own Nubiologist and features recently
donated Egyptian objects as comparatives to the Nubian ones in the exhibit
 ion. \n \n \n \n \n \n Thr

DESCRIPTION:The Great Raleigh Cleanup Inc\n## Join Us at Coastal Credit Un
ion Music Park for a Landfill Diversion Event!\n\nOur mission is simple: d
ivert as much aluminum as possible from the landfill by collecting cans th
roughout the parking lots before the show and during the post-show cleanup
.\n\n### Join the Waitlist\n\nDue to limited capacity\, volunteers will be
selected based on reliability\, previous participation with The Great Ral
eigh Cleanup\, and overall volunteer engagement. We also do our best to cr
eate opportunities for new volunteers whenever possible.\n\n### Volunteer
Commitment\n\nVolunteers work approximately **2 hours total**: one hour be
fore the show and one hour immediately after the concert.\nBy signing up\,
you are committing to **both** the pre-show and post-show collections.\nD
uring the show\, you'll get to relax on the lawn\, enjoy the atmosphere\,
and wait until it's time for the post-show cleanup.\n\n### Confirmation Re
 quired\n\nIf you're selected\, we'll send a confirmation request **48 hour
s before the event**. If we don't receive your confirmation by the deadlin
e\, your spot may be offered to another volunteer on the waitlist so we ca
n ensure the event is fully staffed.\n\n### Minimum Volunteers\n\nWe must
have at least **9 volunteers** committed to both the pre-show and post-sho
w shifts to support this event. If we do not reach that minimum\, the even
 t may be canceled.\n\n### A Few Things to Know\n\n* This is a late-night e
vent\, and you'll probably smell like beer by the end... it comes with the
territory. 🍻\n* If you're running late after we've already entered the
venue\, we won't be able to come back out to let you in. (Sowwy.)\n* **Pl
ease do not ask Live Nation staff for assistance.** They are not able to h
elp with TGRC volunteer check-in or event logistics.\n* Open to volunteers
