DESCRIPTION:Experience a guided forest bathing walk through Hoyt Arboretum
’s unique tree collection and forested areas. Forest Bathing offers many
health benefits from stress relief to immune system and mood support.\n\n
Forest therapy is a research-based framework for supporting healing and we
llness through immersion in forests and other natural environments. Forest
therapy is inspired by the Japanese practice of Shinrin-Yoku\, which tran
slates to “forest bathing.” Studies have demonstrated a wide array of
health benefits\, especially in the cardiovascular and immune systems\, an
d for stabilizing and improving mood and cognition. We build on those bene
fits and look beyond\, to what happens when people remember that we are a
part of nature\, not separate from it\, and are related to all other being
s in fundamental ways.\n\n\n	Class size is limited\, please register in ad

forests of the Pacific Northwest. She holds an M.S. degree in Education fr
om Portland State University\, and is a certified Forest Therapy Guide by
the Associate of Nature and Forest Therapy (ANFT). The practice of forest
bathing expands how she encounters the natural world\, resulting

We build on those bene
fits and look beyond\, to what happens when people remember that we are a
part of nature\, not separate from it\, and are related to all other being
s in fundamental ways.\n\n\n	Program size is limited and pre-registration

DESCRIPTION:Experience being called by trees and feel their distinctive en
ergies. Each tree has a different energy\, just like we do and by learning
to meet trees—to know the tree as an alive and aware being—you open l
atent channels of connection with the living planet and its many life form
 s. This expands your awareness\, empathy\, intuitive knowing\, well-being
and capacity for healing.\n\nThis workshop unfolds through four stages of
 connection: the senses\, feeling\, meeting resistance\, and intuition\, al
l leading to deeper knowing. Through guided exercises\, meditation\, qigon
g\, and generous use of the Tree Transformation Cards\, you’ll discover
new ways of connecting with trees\, and with yourself.\n\nPlease bring a s
mall cloth or pad to sit on\, along with a journal or your phone to record
insights and experiences.\n\nWhether this is your first Meeting Trees exp
erience or you are ready to deepen an existing practice\, this workshop wi
ll help you connect more fully with the wisdom and presence of trees.\n\n\
n	Class size is limited\; online registration is required\n	Registration w
ill close Saturday\, September 26th at 10:00am\n	Additional details will b
e emailed one week prior to the program.\n\n\nAbout the Instructor: Flora
Rudolph is an artist and spiritual explorer who discovered the wisdom of
 trees after a life-changing encounter with a Douglas-fir in 2007. A trauma
tic brain injury soon after altered her path\, but healing came through th
e trees\, leading to the creation of the Tree Cards—messages of guidance
from different species. Flora now leads Forest Bathing + Meeting Trees wo
 rkshops\, self-guided experiences\, tree readings\, online and in-person c
ourses\, and a membership community. Explore her offerings at www.meetingt
