DESCRIPTION:The Trees For All Public Tour explores Hoyt Arboretum from acc
 essible paved trails. The tour loops around the Visitor Center and parking
  lot and then continutes onto the Overlook Trail. A gentle incline leads t
 o an optional lookout point with a (weather-permitting) view of Mt. Saint 
 Helens and Mt. Rainier. Tour highlights include oaks\, beeches\, native sh
 rubs and conifers\, and an overview of the conservation and community sci
 ence work conducted by the Arboretum.\n\nThis tour is reserved for people 
 who are disabled\, chronically ill\, neurodivergent\, and/or have lived ex
 perience of any disability\, broadly defined. Supportive family\, friends\
 , and caregivers are also welcome.\n\nTrees For All Tours are led by train
 ed volunteers every third Thursday and Sunday of the month at 10:00am\, Ma
 y through October.\nTour Details\nRegistration:\n\n 	Online pre-registrati
 on is required. Tour size is limited to 10 participants.\n 	Registration c
 loses 15 minutes prior to the start of the tour.\n 	If you have a private

 ember of the group and stop frequently to look at trees and plants. Partic
 ipants can request a break at any time.\n 	Travel conditions: We will trav
 el on paved asphalt approximately 1/2 mile with 60 feet of elevation chang
 e. The optional viewpoint requires traversing a flat 350 foot trail segmen
 t made of well-packed gravel.\n 	Masks: Participants may anonymously reque
 st that masks be worn by everyone in the tour group during registration. H
 oyt Arboretum will have high-filtration masks available. If you have a dis
 ability that prevents wearing a face mask\, you are not required to wear o
 ne.\n\nWhat to Bring:\n\n 	Please bring whatever you need to comfortably s
 pend an hour outside. Mobility devices\, sensory aids\, adaptive/medical e
 quipment\, and water/snacks are encouraged.\n 	We ask that participants fo
 llow our dog policy outlined in the Education Program Policies. Service an
 imals trained to do work or perform tasks for people with disabilities are
  welcome.\n 	Public tours are held rain or shine. Participants should dres

 llections with a knowledgeable guide. Public Tours will follow seasonal ro
 utes to highlight the flowering trees and the Magnolia Collection in the s
 pring\, the Conifer Collection in the summer\, and fall color and the Mapl
 e Collection in the fall.\n\nPublic Tours are volunteer-led and run every 
 Sunday at 11am\, April through October.\nDetails:\n\n 	Reserve your spot i
 n-person the day of the tour by checking-in with the front desk inside the
  Visitor Center (4000 SW Fairview Blvd\, open 10am-4pm daily).\n 	Please a
 rrive early\, these tours are free and fill-up quickly!\n 	Each tour is 60
  minutes with up to 15 participants per tour.\n 	Walking distance will var
 y and can be up to 1 mile.\n 	We ask that participants follow our dog poli
