DESCRIPTION:Work is a long standing element of practice in the Zen traditi
on and represents a concrete way to put practice into action in our everyd
ay life. Working Meditation days at the Priory are a way to concentrate on
and develop this aspect of practice and they are a way to give expression
to generosity by helping take care of the practical elements of the life
of the temple.Read more about working meditation practice here.

DESCRIPTION:Experience a guided forest bathing walk through Hoyt Arboretum
’s unique tree collection and forested areas. Forest Bathing offers many
health benefits from stress relief to immune system and mood support.\n\n
Forest therapy is a research-based framework for supporting healing and we
llness through immersion in forests and other natural environments. Forest
therapy is inspired by the Japanese practice of Shinrin-Yoku\, which tran
slates to “forest bathing.” Studies have demonstrated a wide array of
health benefits\, especially in the cardiovascular and immune systems\, an
d for stabilizing and improving mood and cognition. We build on those bene
fits and look beyond\, to what happens when people remember that we are a
part of nature\, not separate from it\, and are related to all other being
s in fundamental ways.\n\n\n	Program size is limited and pre-registration
 is required\n	Registration closes Saturday\, September 19th at 10:00am\n	D
etails will be emailed closer to the program date\n\n\nAbout the Instructo
