DESCRIPTION:“Where our baggage is yours!” \nWelcome to the Bearded Lad
ies’ Hairport\, an interactive installation & performance series built o
n 16-years of accumulated baggage from a queer cabaret company devoted to
 art\, care\, mess\, and community. While you’re waiting for a flight tha
t may never take off\, unpack your baggage and rifle through some of ours.
You may recognize something as your own\, or find something you never kne
w you were carrying. \nMade for anyone who has ever lost a bag\, gotten st
 uck\, or missed a (metaphoric) flight\, this trans(formational) installati
on asks: how do you know it’s time to move on when you don’t know wher
e you’re going? \nProduced by The Bearded Ladies Cabaret\nPart of Fringe
Art’s 2026 Festival & Collective Futures \nInstallation on view Septembe
 r 10-December 20\, 2026\nat The Hairport | 444 N 3rd Street\, Philadelphia
  PA 19123 \nInstallation hours:\nWednesday\, Thursday & Friday 4-9PM | Las
t timed entry at 8:15PM\nSaturday & Sunday 11AM-3PM| Last timed entry at 2
 :15PM \nLive events at The Hairport | Saturdays at 8PM \nThe Hairport is a
n interactive\, immersive installation filled with costumes\, cardboard pr
ops\, and other ephemera from the Bearded Ladies Cabaret’s 16-year perfo
rmance history. Visitors will make their way through a sprawling multi-roo
m space made to look like a fantastical\, metaphorical “airport”. Visi
tors will be invited to interact with components of the installation and m
ay encounter docents in guiding roles. The experience will culminate in a
“lounge” space full of “Bearded baggage” which will also serve as
the performance site for the Now Hoarding: In-Flight Entertainment live ev
ent series. \nIt will take visitors approximately 60-75 minutes to view th
e entirety of the Priority Hoarding installation. Groups of 6 will enter t
he installation\, at 15-minute timed entry intervals. An opportunity to ri
de a Surrey bike is offered but not required.
