DESCRIPTION:Non-Stop Flavor Gems is the latest book from local artist Ana
Woulfe with publisher Reptile House Comix. Fully compostable and deeply in
love with the world\, the book uses four invented seasonal foods to discu
ss ways of living that are patient\, attentive and thoughtful. Taking good
care of the land around you and all that resides on it while simultaneous
ly rejecting the systems of power and oppression that seem so permanently
entrenched in our current society. It’s also really cute and meant to ma
ke you laugh\, so you can think of it as a sort of decolonial picture book
for adults. \nAs we enjoy the beautiful late summer evening in the moon g
arden at Bartram’s\, copies of the book will be for sale and seasonal re
freshments and snacks will be available (fingers crossed for a bounty of p
aw-paws!!). Talk to friends or strangers or just sit alone and appreciate
 the night\, it’s up to you ! \nAlso\, at 7:30 we’ll be setting light
and sugar traps to attract a spectacle of nighttime insects so that we can
harmlessly observe and marvel at nighttime pollinator life together. \nAC
CESSIBILITY – This event takes place on the patio of the Eastwick Pavili
on\, which is a large\, open-air\, covered tent space in the Garden. It is
accessible via paved path\, about a 10-minute walk downhill from the main
Visitor Parking Loop by the 54th Street entrance or a 10-minute walk on a
moderate incline from the 56th Street entrance. The path to the Pavilion
itself is on gravel. The restrooms in the Pavilion are not ADA-accessible.
The nearest accessible restrooms are located off of the Barnyard\, below
the Lath house\, but have no automated doors.  \nWe’re happy to make ac
commodations for guests with mobility limitations. Large portions of our 5
0+ acre botanical garden can be explored via wheelchair\, though some of o
ur paths should be used at your own discretion. If you have questions or c

DESCRIPTION:Join us to celebrate a new plant feature within the Garden: Li
ttle Warren Grove\, a collection of circular raised bed gardens hosting a
range of plants native to North American bogs\, including carnivorous plan
ts and their allies. Located adjacent to the park’s main driveway\, Litt
le Warren Grove was established in 2026 thanks to a generous donation of p
lants and wisdom from Jason Austen and Bill Smith of Warren Grove\, New Je
rsey. \nThis garden also connects us to early botanic research done by the
Bartram family beginning in the 1730s as well as historic and ongoing eco
logical restoration and land management leadership by the Waccamaw Siouan
people. \nHear from Director of Horticulture Mandy Katz\, as well as bog p
lant experts Jason Austen and Bill Smith about the significance of these p
lants and their place within the wider ecosystem. \nNo registration needed
. This event is rain or shine. \n  \nACCESSIBILITY- This event will take
place at the Little Warren Grove bog garden\, an outdoor space adjacent to
a paved path that is accessible via wheelchair. It is located directly ne
xt to Harley Drive outside of the Garden’s Admin building\, which is loc
ated by the 54th and Lindbergh entrance. It is about a 2-minute walk from
the main Visitor Parking Loop. Gendered\, multi-stall public restrooms are
located about a 3-minute walk away and all-gender single restrooms are lo
cated in the Admin office. Both are ADA-accessible. \nWe’re happy to mak
e accommodations for guests with mobility limitations. Large portions of o
ur 50+ acre botanical garden can be explored via wheelchair\, though some
of our paths should be used at your own discretion. If you have questions
or concerns\, don’t hesitate to reach out ahead of time to info@bartram
